Job description

STATUS: This position is considered full-time non-exempt.  Schedule includes weekend services, midweek rehearsals, and occasional events..

PRINCIPLE FUNCTION: To provide leadership and support in the area of specialty under the direction of the Department manager by developing and implementing lighting and media production environments that meet the needs of church ministries, facilitate opportunities for the church membership to engage in ministry, and promote the ministry and mission of the church.   This role supports the Media and Worship Ministries with a primary focus on lighting while assisting across audio, video, and production environments. 

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

·       Ability to work well with others in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

·       Ability to effectively achieve tasks and goals in a timely manner.

·       Ability to recruit, train, and shepherd volunteers.

·       Experience in lighting design and operation; familiarity with AVL systems; GrandMA experience preferred but not required.

·       A calling to serve God in a church staff position with a heart for worship and media ministry

·       Confess to be a born-again Christian and to have made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

·       Believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God.

·       Accept the Baptist Faith and Message of the Southern Baptist Convention without reservation.

·       Agree to the Code of Conduct of First Baptist Church of Rogers.

·       Manifest, by daily example, the highest Christian virtue serving as a Christian role model both in and out of church.

·       Become a member of and faithfully attend and support First Baptist Rogers.

JOB DUTIES:

·       Provide leadership and support to the Department manager in the development and implementation of lighting and media production environments.

·       Program and operate lighting for services and events; support audio, video, and presentation systems as needed; recruit, train, and develop volunteers through our leadership pipeline; maintain AVL systems and environments; collaborate with worship and media teams to support effective ministry.

·       Other duties as assigned to facilitate effective ministry and to fulfill the mission of the church.
