Job description

Victor Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is looking for experienced Automotive Technicians at the highest levels (Chrysler Level 3) to support our growth in our NEW STATE OF THE ART BUILDING!

Each Automotive Technician must be properly licensed and have the experience necessary to provide our customers with optimum service. You will work on a variety of trucks, SUVs, sedans and coupes. We also accept contract work for fleet vehicles, so knowledge of diesel & larger trucks will be helpful in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing
  • Repairs automobiles and light and/or heavy trucks and fleet vehicles as assigned
  • Inspect vehicles according to the state’s requirements for emissions and safety
  • Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Required to self-inspect assigned lift on a monthly basis
  • Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions
  • Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules
  • Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Level 3 Chrysler/Stellantis trained technician strongly preferred. A strong Level 2 may be considered
  • NYS Automotive Inspection License required
  • Unrestricted NYS driver's license and clean driving record
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of Chrysler service technician experience
  • Knowledge of Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram automotive products required
  • ASE certification a plus, but not required
  • Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge
  • Must be able to reliably commute to work
  • Can drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
  • Basic computer and internet skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) as needed
  • Spends 100% of workday standing
