General Job Brief
Are you passionate about helping others find their future? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where connecting with people is the core of what you do? We are a rapidly growing private Christian university seeking a dedicated and dynamic Student Worker - Admissions Processor to join our team!
As an Student Worker - Admissions Processor, you will play a key role in sharing the unique educational experience we offer with prospective students and their families. This position is perfect for someone with a background in tele-sales, customer service, or higher education, and a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship
Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively engage with prospective students via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Call a minimum of 100 -150 prospective students daily to provide information about academic programs, financial aid, and the admissions process.
  • Build relationships and guide prospective students and their families through the decision-making process, helping them find the right fit for their educational and spiritual growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of communication and follow up regularly with applicants.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Completing other duties and tasks with utmost integrity and professionalism, as directed, and not necessarily mentioned in this description, may be asked on a volunteer basis.
  • Commitment to the University's faith statement, mission, and purposes; and an active Christian faith.
  • Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff.
  • The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings.
  • Demonstrated alignment with and enthusiastic support for the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University, including signing the University's Statement of Faith and Core Commitments annually.
Qualifications
  • Current student of ACU in good standing
  • Proven experience in tele-sales, customer service, or higher education admissions (required).
  • Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls daily and maintain a positive, energetic attitude.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire prospective students.
  • Passion for helping people and making a difference in their educational journey.
  • Commitment to upholding and promoting the values and mission of a Christian faith-based university.
  • Must complete a FAFSA
