Adjunct Instructor of Christian Studies
Charleston Southern University
Summary
The College of Christian Studies at Charleston Southern University invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Christian Studies. Charleston Southern seeks candidates who are professing Christians, committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education and be willing to explore with students the integration of faith and learning. Additionally, applicants in the College of Christian Studies must be a member of a Southern Baptist Church and be able to affirm to the Baptist Faith and Message (2000), the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy, and the Danvers Statement on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood.
Work Performed
The Adjunct Instructor will teach Old Testament Survey or New Testament Survey in-person. Applicants should, therefore, live within driving distance of the campus. Part-time adjuncts are contracted term-by-term based on course/section need and availability.
Qualifications
Minimum education requirements include a master's degree in Christian Studies with eighteen (18) hours of graduate coursework relevant to the course being taught. A doctoral degree is preferred (esp. Ph.D.), but other applicants may be considered. Evidence of successful teaching experience is also requested.
