Job description

The Mobilization Manager provides spiritual and strategic leadership for Global Frontier Missions (GFM)โ€™s recruiting and mobilization efforts. This position exists to fulfill GFMโ€™s purpose of making Jesus known among all nations by identifying, equipping, and sending believers into cross-cultural ministry. The role combines discipleship, mentoring, partnership development, and team leadership in a full-time, support-raised capacity. Because this position serves an essential ministry function, it is designated as a ministerial role requiring a demonstrated call to Christian service and participation in GFMโ€™s religious mission.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and spiritual guidance for the Mobilization team and Missions Advisors to foster growth, health, and ministry effectiveness.
  • Offer one-on-one discipleship and mentoring for missionary candidates, helping them discern calling, maturity, and readiness for ministry.
  • Lead and participate in prayer, worship, and devotional gatherings, modeling dependence on Godโ€™s Word and Spirit.
  • Develop and refine GFMโ€™s recruiting processes to identify, train, and mobilize those called to missions.
  • Preach and teach biblical foundations of missions in churches, conferences, and other gatherings, representing GFMโ€™s faith and vision.
  • Train staff and volunteers in GFMโ€™s theology, values, and mobilization strategies to ensure alignment with Scripture and GFMโ€™s mission.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with GFM Mission Agency Partners (Global Partners), churches, and sending agencies to expand collaboration for the Gospel.
  • Manage mobilization schedules, budgets, reports, and communication systems.
  • Collaborate with other GFM departments to align recruiting, marketing, and training efforts with organizational goals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must personally embrace GFMโ€™s purpose, vision, values, and statement of faith.
  • Must identify as a maturing believer in Jesus Christ with a clear sense of divine calling to the ministry of mobilization.
  • Willingness to obtain or hold recognized ministerial credentials (licensing or ordination).
  • Be prepared to experience significant missions training and biblical discipleship through GFMโ€™s Missionary Training School (in person sessions or online). This confirms commitment to GFM's religious mission and theological training.
  • Demonstrate humility, teachability, and an ability to work well with others.
  • Display advanced interpersonal relational skills and be dedicated to peacemaking.
  • Be competent with preaching and teaching the Gospel and missions vision in various settings.
  • Willingness to raise and maintain personal financial support.
  • Proficiency (or willingness to learn) in digital tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, and Salesforce.
  • Commitment to continued spiritual formation and ministry development.
RECOMMENDED
  • A College Degree is preferred but not required; formal or informal training in ministry, theology, or biblical studies is highly valued.
  • Previous experience in missions mobilization, pastoral ministry, or spiritual leadership.
MINISTERIAL EXPECTATIONS

This role directly supports GFMโ€™s religious purpose: to spread the Gospel and build Godโ€™s Kingdom. Regular activities include prayer, worship, biblical teaching, and spiritual mentoring. The Mobilization Manager represents GFMโ€™s faith in all functions and is expected to model Christian character, participate in corporate prayer and worship, and lead others in discipleship. Staff in this position may qualify for clergy housing allowance and other ministerial benefits in accordance with IRS guidelines.
