About PTEC
Power Technical is a grades 6โ€“12 school preparing students for both college and skilled trades. We integrate core academics with hands-on learning in construction, welding, machining, electrical, plumbing, manufacturing, and CAD/Engineering. Students apply theory daily through real-world projects using our structured Direct Instruction model with coaching and lesson plan support.

Position Summary
PTEC is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to serve middle and high school students in a structured, career-connected learning environment. The ideal candidate will engage students in developing strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills while supporting academic excellence across content areas.

Responsibilities

  • Teach middle and high school English aligned to Colorado state standards

  • Develop studentsโ€™ reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and analytical skills

  • Monitor and assess student progress

  • Maintain a structured, positive classroom environment

  • Communicate with families and collaborate with staff

  • Participate in required pre-service training and professional development

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in English or related field

  • Teaching experience preferred

  • Strong content knowledge and classroom management skills

  • Ability to support diverse learners

Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday (In Person)
