Elementary Teacher Job Summary
The Elementary Teacher is responsible for guiding students to develop attitudes, skills, and subject knowledge that promote maturity, responsibility, and Christian values, all to the glory of God.


Essential Responsibilities
Spiritual Leadership
  • Embrace the call to teach in a Christian environment.
  • Foster a Christ-centered classroom atmosphere.
  • Encourage students to accept Christ's gift of salvation and recognize their worth in Him.
  • Model high standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Work with the administration to address students' spiritual needs.
  • Practice the principles of Matthew 18 in resolving conflicts.
  • Provide Christ-centered counseling as needed.
Academic Leadership
  • Uphold the school’s Christian philosophy and worldview in teaching.
  • Familiarize yourself with the curriculum, mission, and standards.
  • Integrate biblical principles into all lessons and activities.
  • Plan and teach in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
  • Create a professional, Christian classroom environment.
  • Assess students' development and tailor instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Use various teaching methods to engage students in all areas of growth—spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional.
  • Regularly assess student progress and provide parents with feedback.
