Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments to understand clients' backgrounds and psychological needs, crafting personalized treatment plans to address identified challenges.
  • Facilitate individual, couple, and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based techniques and treatment modalities tailored to each clientโ€™s specific context.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams made up of psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, and psychiatrists to ensure holistic and coordinated client care, particularly for complex cases.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and other essential records, adhering to organizational policies and HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and care continuity.
  • Engage in ongoing clinical supervision, professional development sessions, and training opportunities to enhance your therapeutic skills and stay current with industry advancements.
  • Implement the latest research and best practices in marriage and family therapy into your therapeutic work, contributing to the centerโ€™s reputation as a leader in mental health services.
  • Uphold the ethical standards of practice ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and respect for all clients at all times.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at our center, you will work closely with a diverse client base, including individuals grappling with personal issues, couples navigating relationship dynamics, and families in distress. Your focus will directly impact their journey towards healing, helping them develop the skills necessary for effective communication and conflict resolution within their relationships.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A valid LMFT license in the state of New York, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • At least one year of clinical experience in a mental health setting, particularly with an emphasis on substance abuse or relational therapies.
