Childcare Director
Position Purpose
The Childcare Director is responsible for overseeing the daily care, safety, supervision, and well-being of children ages 16 months through 12 years old. This position provides leadership and support to childcare staff while ensuring that the school maintains a safe, nurturing, organized, and developmentally appropriate environment.
The Childcare Supervisor serves as a positive role model for staff and children and works closely with families, and staff to support the needs of each child.



Essential Functions

Β Β Β  Β Β Β Β Supervise and support childcare workers and children.
Β Β Β  Β Β Β Β Ensure appropriate supervision and safety of children at all times.
Β Β Β  Β Β Β Β Help maintain a warm, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children ages 16 months-12 years.
Β Β Β  Β Β Β Β Monitor classrooms, playgrounds, transitions, meals, nap/rest periods, and other daily activities.
Β Β Β  Β Β Β Β Assist with staff scheduling, classroom coverage, breaks, and daily staffing needs.
Β Β Β  Β Β Β Β Ensure facilities follow school policies, health and safety requirements, and licensing regulations.
Β Β Β  Β Β Β Β Support staff with child management and age-appropriate behavior guidance.
Β Β Β  Β Β Β Β Assist with onboarding and training new childcare employees.
Β Β Β  Β Β Β Β Communicate regularly with the Superintendent regarding staffing, classroom needs, incidents, and concerns.
Β Β Β  Β Β Β Β Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, medication records, and other required documentation.
