Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, partnering with the CEO and Board of Directors to shape the financial strategy and operational excellence of iboss. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in high-growth SaaS businesses, a strong command of recurring revenue models, and preferably experience in the cybersecurity industry. This leader will be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring capital efficiency, and positioning iboss for continued expansion, potential fundraising events, and long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO and Board to develop and execute the company's long-term financial strategy
  • Lead financial planning, annual budgeting, and multi-year forecasting processes
  • Provide data-driven insights to guide strategic decision-making and resource allocation
  • Drive financial modeling for new business initiatives, product investments, and market expansion
  • Own and optimize core SaaS financial metrics: ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, churn, and gross margin
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to improve pipeline visibility and revenue predictability
  • Establish robust revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606
  • Lead capital raise efforts including equity and debt financing, in partnership with the CEO and Board
  • Manage investor reporting, board presentations, and financial communications
  • Oversee all accounting operations including month-end close, financial statements, and audits
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOC 2, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies
  • Lead tax planning, treasury management, and risk mitigation strategies
QualificationsRequired
  • 12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3-5 years as a VP Finance or CFO
  • Proven experience in a high-growth SaaS company, deep understanding of subscription-based business models is required
  • Demonstrated success scaling ARR from $100M+ through $400M+ or equivalent growth milestones
  • Strong command of SaaS financial metrics and recurring revenue reporting
  • Experience leading or supporting fundraising rounds (Series B, C, D, or growth equity)
  • Exceptional executive presence with strong board and investor communication skills
  • Track record of building and leading finance teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA from a top-tier institution preferred
  • Prior experience taking a company through an IPO or significant M&A transaction
  • Familiarity with government and enterprise sales motions, including federal contracts and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, CMMC)
  • Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, or comparable financial and CRM systems
