We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the office's financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with technology and is willing to learn new software as needed.
Responsibilities:
Financial Data Management:
  • Record and categorize financial transactions related to jewelry wholesale operations.
  • Enter invoices, receipts, bills and payments accurately into the accounting software/systems.
  • Responsible for sending Weekly Accounting Reports to the CEO.
Accounts Reconciliation:
  • Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Verify that payments and collections are accurately recorded and matched to invoices.
  • Work closely with Audit team to ensure the Vendor invoices are accurate and not over billed.
Inventory Accounting:
  • Manage inventory-related transactions, including purchases, sales, returns, and adjustments.
  • Perform regular reconciliations to ensure inventory levels are accurate.
  • Responsible in creating Consignment report for all goods with the customers.
Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate reports to provide insights into sales, expenses, and profitability of the wholesale jewelry division.
  • Ensure that each Month has been reconciled.
Payroll and Expenses:
  • Enter all Payroll taxes and checks of all employees
  • Monitor all tax related documents required by accountant.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CPA) are a plus.
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a wholesale environment or in Jewelry industry.
  • At least 10 years experience in bookkeeping
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax requirements.
  • Analytical skills for interpreting financial data and generating meaningful reports.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
