POSITION OVERVIEW

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO)isresponsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and payroll. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will play a critical role in shaping the company's financial strategy and ensuring robust financial health.

Financial Strategy Development

Developand implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.

Accounting Oversight

Overseeall accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

Financial Planning and Analysis

Leadfinancial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling.Conduct variance analysis and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to support decision-making.

Reporting and Compliance

Ensurethe integrity and accuracy of financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards.

ADDITIONALRESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES

  • Payroll Management

  • Overseepayroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.Implement payroll best practices and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Cash Flow Management

  • Monitorcash flow and liquidity to support operational needs and strategic initiatives. Develop strategies for effective cash management and investment.

  • Risk Management

  • Identifyfinancial risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company's assets and financial health. Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place to safeguard company resources.

  • Quality Assurance

  • Ensurethat allaccounting and financial activitiesmeet or exceedinternal and externalcustomer expectations and industry standards. Implement quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Reporting

  • Provideregular updates to the CEO and other senior leaders onfinancial performance and key metrics.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.

  • 10+ years of financial management experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Hands-on experience with percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting and revenue recognition for long-term, project-based work is strongly preferred; experience in custom manufacturing, automation, engineering, or construction environments is highly valued.

  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, and financial reporting in a mid-sized company, preferably within the automation or technology sector.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance requirements.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with payroll systems is a plus.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
