We are seeking a 3rd Shift Sanitation Supervisor to lead overnight sanitation operations that directly support food safety, production readiness, and regulatory compliance.

This role is responsible for overseeing plant-wide sanitation of processing equipment and production environments — not office cleaning — ensuring the facility meets strict food safety standards and is prepared for daily operations.

The Sanitation Supervisor will lead sanitation team members, drive accountability, improve processes, and partner with QA and Operations to maintain a safe, audit-ready facility.

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise and lead 3rd shift sanitation team in a food manufacturing environment

· Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment, processing areas, and food-contact surfaces

· Execute and maintain:

o SSOPs

o Master Sanitation Schedules

o Pre-operational readiness standards

· Partner with QA to ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, and food safety requirements

· Monitor chemical usage, concentrations, and safety protocols

· Manage sanitation supply and chemical inventory

· Conduct sanitation inspections and pre-op checks to ensure production readiness

· Identify gaps and drive corrective actions

· Train, coach, and hold team members accountable to sanitation and safety standards

· Support audit readiness (internal, customer, and regulatory)

· Drive continuous improvement in sanitation effectiveness and efficiency

· Maintain required documentation and reporting

Qualifications

· 2+ years of sanitation leadership experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment (poultry, meat, dairy, seafood, or similar strongly preferred)

· Experience supervising hourly teams in an industrial setting

· Working knowledge of:

o Food safety standards

o Sanitation Performance Standards

o GMPs

o USDA or FDA environments

· Experience with sanitation chemicals and safe handling practices

· Ability to work in wet, cold, and fast-paced production environments

· Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

· Strong leadership, accountability, and problem-solving skills

· Comfortable working overnight / 3rd shift

· High School Diploma or GED required

· Candidate must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug and background screen.

Preferred

· Experience in poultry, meat, or ready-to-eat processing

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

· HACCP or food safety training

This is a hands-on leadership role critical to food safety and daily plant operations.

Holly Poultry, Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
