  • Start Time: From 5:45am until job is completed (until approx. 3pm)
  • Pay Rate: From $16 per hour and up based on experience.

Position Purpose:
The chicken cutter responsible for operating meat-processing equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Major Functional Responsibilities:
  • Operates processing equipment.
  • Utilizes hand tools and power equipment to fabricate portion control cuts to specifications.
  • Prepares, saws, mixes, tenderizes, weighs and packages chicken products.
  • Training other associates as needed
  • Provides constant updates to the Plant Manager on the status of work orders
  • Responsible for the overall quality and consistency of product produced in compliance with all U.S.D.A., and Performance Food Group guidelines.
  • Helps in maintaining Clean and sanitary work conditions
  • Uses personal protective equipment as required.
  • Follows HAACP guidelines.
  • Maintaining GWB LLC's high standards for product guidelines in sanitation, freshness, trim and cutting
  • Ensure that knives are sharpened
  • Assisting in other duties as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Required Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience:
1+ year experience in the food service industry or food production environment.
1+ years of professional knife-cutting experience in poultry, meat processing, or food production environments
Skills:
Ability to stand for extended periods, up to six hours per day
Ability and willingness to work in cold environments such as refrigerated storage or meat processing facilities
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 lbs on a regular basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Food handling or food processing experience.
Knowledge in meat handling advantageous.
