Position purpose: To provide excellent customer service to our customers.


Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks: (material responsibilities and essentials duties)

  • Greet and acknowledge every guest
  • Demonstrate solid product knowledge
  • Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements
  • Demonstrate friendly and helpful service to all customers consistently
  • Suggest additional items to the customer
  • Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers, including scanning or inputting barcodes
  • Ring each item on the correct key
  • Minimize cash discrepancies so they do not exceed +/- $5.00 per day
  • Thank all customers at the end of each transaction
  • Handle difficult/challenging situations with a high level of professionalism
  • Meet or exceed Chevron's customer service standards
  • Assist in floor moves, merchandising, and display maintenance
  • Stock the floor as needed
  • Complete housekeeping tasks as needed
  • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention

Qualifications: (minimum educational and experience qualifications, required proficiencies with specialized knowledge, required certifications, etc.)

  • Have basic math skills
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions

PART-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS:

  • PAID SICK LEAVE (PSL) - Part-time and Seasonal employees begin accruing PSL at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked.  Employees cannot use PSL until after their 90 days of employment.
