Introduction

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analyzer Technician to join the team at the Cedar Bayou facility in Baytown, TX.  After successfully completing required training, this position will participate in a rotating weekend duty schedule to support ongoing operational needs.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain process/environmental analyzers on a 24/7 basis
  • Maintain the hydrocarbon, and carbon monoxide detectors
  • Use SAP to document repairs, purchase parts, confirm time and write notifications
  • Comply with federal, state and local procedures and regulations.  Assist in developing procedures and policies to benefit the safety and productivity of the facility.
  • Participate in Process Hazard Reviews and PSSRs
  • Provides 24-hour analytical systems support of operating units during upsets as well as outages
  • Provides 24-hour on-call analytical systems support
  • Participate in FAT (factory acceptance test) and/or the SAT (site acceptance test) when required
Required Qualifications

3 years of instrumentation experience in an industrial or heavy commercial setting with one of the following:

  • Associates degree in Instrumentation Technology
  • Certification or diploma from trade school
Preferred Qualifications
  • Instrumentation - Knowledge of how to use diagnostic and calibration equipment
  • Analyzer - knowledge of the Siemens Gas Chromatographs, Yokogawa Gas, Sample Systems, Oxygen and Hydrocarbon detection systems
  • Electrical - Able to diagnose and locate circuit, component, and equipment faults
