Job description

As an Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will support the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, staff supervision, inventory management, and adherence to health and safety standards. Your role is vital in ensuring efficient kitchen operations, maintaining high food quality, and contributing to the overall success of the kitchen team.

Duties
    1. Assist in managing daily kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, and plating. Ensure that all kitchen tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
    2. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving supplies. Ensure proper storage of ingredients and manage stock to prevent waste and shortages.
    3. Enforce food safety and sanitation practices. Assist with maintaining compliance with health regulations, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.
    4. Support menu development and updates in collaboration with the Kitchen Manager or Head Chef. Help with recipe adjustments and cost control measures.
    5. Help recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff. Assist with scheduling, provide guidance, and address any staff issues or concerns. Support the Kitchen Manager in conducting performance evaluations.
    6. Monitor and assist with the maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment. Report any malfunctions or issues to the Kitchen Manager and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
Qualifications
