Top of the Woods, our full-service restaurant at Galleria Woods Senior Living, is seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. Compensation: $80,000-$83,000 annually (based on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic culinary leader with a passion for fine dining and excellence in service. As Executive Chef, you will oversee all back-of-house operations, ensuring every dish meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency.

The ideal candidate brings strong financial management skills, including budgeting, ordering, and cost control, along with the creativity and leadership necessary to deliver a true "wow" dining experience.

You will also play a key role in team development, kitchen operations, and resident engagement, helping to continuously enhance the dining program across our community.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and direct all culinary operations and food preparation
  • Design and refine menus that meet high-quality and nutrition standards
  • Manage food and labor costs, ordering, and inventory controls
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff
  • Maintain kitchen organization, cleanliness, and efficiency
  • Develop standardized recipes and menu specifications
  • Monitor food quality, safety, and temperature control
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture
  • Engage with residents and guests to gather feedback and enhance satisfaction
What We're Looking For
  • 3-5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a restaurant, hotel, or similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of current culinary trends and best practices
  • Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and restaurant systems/POS
  • Post-secondary coursework in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related field (preferred)
  • Culinary degree or certification (preferred)
  • ServSafe Certification required
