Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the productization and portfolio management of our Split Radio, Enterprise Surveillance Management (ESM), and network/security solutions, driving offerings from concept through production and sustainment within the Federal Government and international markets. In this role, you will develop compelling business cases, define market requirements, build multi-year product roadmaps, and recommend investment strategies while collaborating across Sales, Engineering, Program Management, and Marketing to deliver innovative solutions aligned with customer needs and L3Harris' core competencies. You will serve as a key voice of the product both internally and externally - partnering with Marketing and Business Development on thought leadership, collateral, and customer-facing events, while communicating complex technical concepts with executive-level clarity across all levels of the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Own the productization of the Split Radio, Enterprise Surveillance Management (ESM) capability, and network/security solutions, driving offerings from concept through production and sustainment
  • Develop and complete business cases for product offerings; provide strategic direction and oversight aligned with L3Harris' core competencies
  • Define market requirements and translate them into product description documents for execution teams
  • Develop and maintain multi-generational product roadmaps, prioritize feature definitions, and release timing in alignment with customer needs and market trends
  • Partner with engineering teams to develop multi-generational technology plans for the products in the portfolio
  • Based on the multi-generational product and technology roadmaps, recommend investment plans to support capability enhancements and portfolio growth
  • Establish pricing strategy, catalog part number deployment, and customer pipeline targets to support revenue generation for approved business cases
  • Evaluate make-versus-buy alternatives to optimize portfolio offerings in alignment with core competencies
  • Collaborate with Sales & Business Development, Program Management, Marketing, and Engineering to deliver integrated product solutions
  • Partner with Marketing to develop messaging, collateral, thought leadership content, and customer-facing event strategies
  • Develop sales tools and training materials; support trade shows, customer demonstrations, and sales presentations to expand the customer pipeline
  • Partner with pricing and proposal teams to develop competitive and compliant product offerings
  • Validate product forecasts and monitor key customer budgets, market trends, and emerging requirements through independent research and customer engagement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • 7+ years of product management experience with demonstrated success in Federal Government, Civil agency, or defense/national security markets
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage multi-year product roadmaps and drive portfolio offerings from concept through sustainment
  • Experience with Stage-Gate, checkpoint review, or similar structured product development processes

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency with product lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira, Aha!, Roadmunk, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated technical acumen with a working understanding of network architecture, information management, surveillance systems, and automation solutions
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities, drive end-to-end execution, and maintain budget accountability
  • Proven ability to develop business cases, pricing strategies, and investment proposals for executive-level review
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly to all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environments
  • Proven ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated integrity and ability to foster open collaboration across Sales, Engineering, Program Management, and Marketing functions
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with Agile or SAFe product development frameworks
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership or revenue accountability for a product line or portfolio
  • Experience leading portfolio-level strategic planning and investment prioritization activities
  • Pragmatic Institute (PMMC) or Certified Product Manager (CPM) certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $106,500- $197,000. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $122,000- $227,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
