Our client, a leading organization in the technology and communications industry, is seeking a Network Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Network Engineer, you will be an integral part of the IT department supporting network infrastructure and operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Network Engineer

Location: Longmont, CO onsite

What's the Job?

  • Carry out day-to-day operational and technical support for network services, including handling queries from labs and end-user teams via ticketing systems.
  • Maintain updated schematic diagrams for infrastructure and low-level architecture design.
  • Keep an accurate inventory of network devices and ensure documentation is current.
  • Monitor network performance, system availability, and reliability to ensure optimal operation.
  • Install and configure network hardware such as Wireless Access Points, switches, phones, and routers across various sites, labs, and data centers.

What's Needed?

  • Knowledge and experience working with Cisco and/or Juniper network equipment.
  • Familiarity with basic switching and routing protocols such as VLAN, VXLAN, STP, VPC, HSRP, NAT, IPSec, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
  • Understanding of IP communication and routing principles.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN/WIFI and structured cabling, including network devices like firewalls, switches, routers, wireless controllers, and load balancers.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring tools, automation, and packet-level analysis of network protocols.
