Job description

Job Title: Network Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent combined education and experience, and at least six years of professional experience. The role requires maintaining DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification throughout the contract period and an active DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of systems in a 24x7 operations and test environment.
  • Provide first level technical support and initial troubleshooting for local hardware, software, and networks.
  • Document and report all events/issues to the Chief Watch Officer (CWO) and receive tasking and direction from the Command and Control Center (CCC) for all operations, tests, and real-world events.
  • Assist in all hardware/software installations as directed by local Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Create and maintain user accounts as directed by the local Information System Security Officer (ISSO).
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required.

Essential Skills

  • Strong experience with operations and maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/networking environments.
  • Experience in system and/or network administration, including UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cisco, and Juniper.
  • Troubleshooting skills for hardware and software components.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • LAN/WAN, Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft Suite, CCNA, JNCIA.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of System or Missile Defense Systems is desired.
  • TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
  • Must have a Security+ Certification or equivalent.
  • Must maintain an active clearance to start.

Work Environment

The position requires rotating 24x7 shift work, with assignments determined by mission requirements. Some substitute rotation during off-shifts, including nights and weekends, will be required. The work schedule is full-time, and the candidate will be assigned to a shift and assignment, either Operations or Training, based on mission needs.

Pay and Benefits
