Job description

Responsible for all cash service needs of our casino customers, (both external and internal) while maintaining appropriate accountability for inventory. Delivers truly great customer service while performing transactions such as ticket/voucher redemptions, check cashing, generic reel reward transactions, and promotional transactions.  Servicing our entire customer, (both internal and external), cash needs.

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance
  • Must demonstrate the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide without the use of a calculator
  • One year previous United States currency money handling work experience preferred
  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Must be willing to serve customers, (both external and internal) from a variety of backgrounds
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays and work overtime
  • Ability to pass mandated regulation and department testing
  • Must be physically mobile with/without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (e.g., coins, drawer inserts, BV's etc.) throughout their shift
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, talk, hear, and reach at least 2 feet across a counter throughout their shift
  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment (including computers, currency counters, and 10 keys), handle currency, coins, and keys.
  • Must have good close and medium range vision with the ability to distinguish between colors
  • Ability to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in mentally and physically stressful situations
  • Ability to walk and remain standing for 8 to 10 hours with breaks
  • Ability to safely push or pull a cashier cart when fully loaded
  • Ability to differentiate between various denominations of currency and coin.

Performs all types of money-handling functions. Proficient in Main Bank, Chip Bank, Marker bank, all front window functions

External Customers:

  • Redemption of ticket/voucher, traveler's check cashing, personal check cashing, generic reel reward transactions, promotional transactions and any other services that may be offered in the future.

Internal Customers:

  • Paying jackpots, issuing department banks, selling change and currency as needed to all departments.

  • Cashiers are here for servicing our customers, (both external and internal) cash needs. Ability to balance money and paperwork to reconcile banks. 

  • Ability to order currency from Cage Cashier I to refill drawer.

  • Ability to processes fund transactions for the cashiering department with other casino personnel.

  • Ability to issue chip fills and receive chip credits as a function of working the chip bank.

  • Ability to perform all transactions as per policies and procedures under surveillance. Regulatory Compliance: Must be willing to learn, understand and adhere to all Title 31 requirements for reporting, record keeping and cash handling procedures for MIL's, MTL's, CTR's and SARC's.

  • Record Maintenance/Processing: Processes transactions. Records information regarding transactions on reports and forms. Maintains internal controls with reports describing errors and discrepancies.
