JOB SUMMARY

The Cage Cashier is responsible for conducting financial transactions including the redemption of gaming tickets, cash advances, check cashing, and player card transactions in a fast-paced gaming environment. This position ensures an accurate, secure, and guest-friendly experience while maintaining compliance with company policies and gaming regulations. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent guest service during the swing shift.ย 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Redeem TITOs (Ticket-In Ticket-Out), racing vouchers, and sports betting tickets accurately and courteously.
  • Count and record assigned funds, balance cash drawer throughout and at end of shift.
  • Perform check cashing and cash advance transactions, including verifying guest identification.
  • Accurately complete financial forms such as CTRs (Currency Transaction Reports), W2Gs (Winning Statements), and MTLs (Monetary Transaction Logs).
  • Process and maintain player card accounts; issue new cards and redeem points for cash or prizes.
  • Maintain guest service standards while answering questions and resolving issues.
  • Ensure safety and security of guests, funds, and fellow team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members and assist in vault exchanges as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • High degree of accuracy in handling large sums of cash and completing paperwork.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay focused in a high-volume, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cage operations, or casino software preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to stand for long periods (up to 8+ hours per shift).
  • Manual dexterity to operate cash-handling equipment and computer terminals.
  • Occasionally lift and move up to 25 lbs.
  • Work is performed in a secure cage area within a gaming facility.
  • Exposure to noise, lights, and secondhand smoke typical in a casino environment.
