Job description

Seeking a Lead, Digital Sales Chat Experience to own the day-to-day performance and evolution of our conversational sales channel. This individual will drive ongoing optimization of the chat experience, coordinate changes required by product and promotional updates, and manage the vendor and IT relationships that keep the channel running smoothly.

Must be able to go onsite 4 days a week in Stamford, CT

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Own day-to-day operations of the conversational sales chat experience, monitoring performance and resolving issues as they arise.

· Drive continuous optimization of chat flows, conversion, and customer experience through testing, analysis, and iteration.

· Partner with Product and Marketing/Promotions teams to identify and implement chat updates required by product launches, offer changes, and promotional campaigns.

· Serve as the primary point of contact with platform vendors, managing requests, escalations, and delivery timelines.

· Partner with internal IT teams to scope, prioritize, and implement platform changes, integrations, and fixes.

· Bring a strategic point of view on the evolving conversational AI vendor landscape and support platform migration planning as needed, including requirements gathering and vendor coordination.

· Help shape how our sales experience shows up on emerging AI platforms — including ChatGPT and similar tools — positioned to enable commerce wherever customers choose to shop, now and in the future.

· Track and report on chat channel performance metrics (engagement, conversion, containment, customer satisfaction) to stakeholders.

· Manage requirements documentation, UAT/testing, and deployment coordination for chat changes.

7+ years of experience in conversational AI, chatbot platforms, digital customer experience, or digital sales channel management

Experience owning and optimizing customer-facing chat experiences

Strong understanding of conversational design principles and chat flow optimization

Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendor relationships

Experience partnering with IT teams to implement platform enhancements and integrations

Strong analytical skills with experience measuring engagement, conversion, containment, and customer satisfaction metrics

Experience with A/B testing and continuous improvement methodologies

Pay and Benefits
