Sales Representative

Location: Western U.S. (Remote with Field Engagement) Type: Full-Time | Exempt Reports to: Director of Commercial Operations

Founded in 1972, Total-Western, Inc. is a premier provider of industrial construction and maintenance services serving the oil & gas, aerospace, petrochemical, food & beverage, and renewable energy industries. We deliver a full suite of EPCOM services, including engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and maintenance. Our core capabilities include ASME code welding, mechanical and civil construction, and electrical & instrumentation services. With offices throughout California, the Pacific Northwest, and Arizona, Total-Western supports complex industrial projects across the Western United States.

We are builders. Problem-solvers. Relationship-driven. Safety-focused.

We care deeply about how we show up, with our clients, our partners, and our people. Our work is complex, our standards are high, and our reputation is built on trust, accountability, and long-term relationships.

We are Professional. We are Relationship-Driven. We are Accountable. We are Visionary.

The Role

We are hiring a Sales Representative to support Total-Western's continued growth across the Western U.S. This is a business-facing, relationship-driven role focused on developing new client relationships, expanding market presence, and connecting client needs with Total-Western's high-quality, safety-driven solutions.

This is not a transactional sales role. It is a field-aware, relationship-based commercial role where you will:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across industrial markets
  • Build trust with prospective clients by understanding their operational challenges
  • Represent Total-Western's capabilities with professionalism and credibility
  • Partner closely with internal Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Engineering teams
  • Help shape long-term growth strategy, not just chase short-term wins

You will be a key ambassador of the Total-Western brand in the market.

What Success Looks Like

Clients trust you and see you as a long-term partner

You consistently build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline

You understand client operations and position solutions effectively

  • Work closely with experienced operations and engineering teams
  • Influence commercial strategy and market positioning
  • Have autonomy, visibility, and real impact on company growth
  • Be trusted, supported, and valued as a business partner
Who You Are

We care more about how you think, how you show up, and how you build relationships than a specific sales title.

You understand how industrial environments work

You know how to speak to both executives and operational leaders

You know how to listen first, then offer solutions

You are credible, proactive, and relationship-driven

You take pride in representing a strong brand with professionalism and integrity

You might come from:

  • Industrial services or construction sales
  • Business development
  • Operations or project-based environments
  • Energy, manufacturing, or EPC-related industries

Share market intelligence and client insights to strengthen positioning

Manage Pipeline & CRM

Track pipeline progress and support forecasting and planning

Represent the Brand

Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities

Build awareness of Total-Western's services and capabilities

Strengthen market presence through professional, consistent engagement

Provide feedback on outreach strategies and market trends

Contribute ideas to improve sales and business development processes

Preferred Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or business development

Understanding of industrial maintenance and construction environments

Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)

Remote role with significant field engagement

Travel required within the Western U.S. for client meetings, job sites, and industry events

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
