) Director of Assisted Living
Location: Owens Cross Roads, Alabama
Company: Residences at Wellpoint
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Assisted Living to join our team at Residences at Wellpoint. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing resident care, staff performance, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Your dedication to serving seniors with dignity and respect will be instrumental in providing an exceptional experience for our residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Director in managing community operations, focusing on Assisted Living/Memory Care resident care, staffing, budgeting, and compliance
  • Monitor compliance with Alabama Department of Public Health regulations and licensing requirements
  • Oversee daily resident services and ensure that care plans are followed and adjusted as needed
  • Support recruitment, training, and supervision of caregiving and support staff to maintain a high standard of service
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and implement improvements as directed by the Executive Director
  • Assist in managing occupancy levels through relationship building with families, hospitals, and referral sources
  • Act as a liaison between residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers to ensure clear and compassionate communication
  • Address and resolve concerns or complaints promptly, promoting resident satisfaction
  • Support and help implement policies, procedures, and programs aligned with the community's mission and goals
  • Fill in for the Executive Director as needed and represent the community at meetings or events when required

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, gerontology, nursing, or a related field preferred.
  • Must meet Alabama's regulatory requirements for an Assisted Living Administrator (including certification/licensure - Cat2 Al. Admin Lics.)
  • Minimum 2-3 years of leadership experience in assisted living, senior care, or a healthcare setting
  • Strong understanding of applicable state and federal regulations
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate staff with empathy and professionalism
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to serving seniors with dignity and respect
