Chargeback Representatives are professionals who manage and resolve disputes between customers, merchants, and financial institutions regarding credit or debit card transactions. They review claims of unauthorized or incorrect charges, gather supporting documentation, and communicate with all parties involved to investigate and resolve the dispute. Their role is crucial in ensuring compliance with banking regulations and card network rules while protecting both consumers and businesses from fraudulent activity. Chargeback Representatives often work in banking, payment processing, or financial services companies.

Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective communication are essential soft skills for investigating claims and interacting with customers or merchants. These skills ensure accurate handling of disputes, compliance with regulations, and the protection of financial interests for both clients and organizations.
