Kansas Children's Service League is looking to hire a full-time Head Start Education Supervisor in Garden City, Kansas. This position earns a competitive annual salary of $50,000 and works a Monday - Friday schedule with occasional evenings and weekends.

JOB SUMMARY

This position provides general guidance and supervision to assigned staff in a designated supervision area. The Head Start Education Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day training and monitoring of Head Start classrooms.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

STAFF SUPERVISION 45%

§ Conduct regular supervision and meetings with staff.

§ Complete performance reviews for each staff member supervised.

§ Provide support and guidance to all assigned staff with their daily job responsibilities.

§ Conduct frequent monitoring tasks to provide input and feedback accordingly to staff, management, and leadership teams.


SITE SUPERVISION DUTIES

§ Ensure compliance with HSPPS and KDHE Licensing Regulations


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education

OR

  • Advanced degree with equivalent coursework in early childhood education and early education teaching experience.

OR

  • Associates degree in early childhood education or other related field with 2 years of experience working in early childhood. Must be willing to work towards the completion of bachelor’s degree.

OR

· Active CDA with 3 years of Head Start Experience. Must be willing to work towards the completion of bachelor’s degree.

Preferred

· Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education

· Experience with Head Start
