Their duties often include onboarding new partners, providing training, setting sales targets, and ensuring that partners align with the company's goals and standards.

What does a channel manager do?

A channel manager works with sales or marketing within a specific channel. In this career, your duties may involve overseeing sales operations and being the moderator for supplier and customer relationships in a particular territory. Job description

About Aligned

Aligned builds the category-defining AI Deal Workspace that transforms how modern revenue organizations execute B2B deals. Founded on the absolute conviction that sales isn't complex but buying is, Aligned replaces the chaotic mess of fragmented email threads and file links with a single buyer-facing workspace for each deal.

Every month, over 70,000 sellers and 1 million buyers run their transactions through Aligned's #1 Digital Sales Rooms (DSRs) on G2, delivering 30% faster sales cycles and a 15% increase in win rates for enterprise teams.

Aligned is scaling at a rare market velocity, tripling its ARR year-over-year while maintaining best-in-class gross revenue retention. We are backed by tier-one partners like NFX, Hetz Ventures, and JAL Ventures, and have recently closed a $60M Series B funding round led by PeakSpan Capital to accelerate our expansion into AI-driven buyer enablement. We operate with a lean, exceptionally high-caliber team that values direct communication, high execution standards, and absolute ownership.

About the Role

Aligned is hiring a Vice President of Marketing to scale marketing from a high-signal foundation into a highly predictable, world-class growth operating system. This is not a channel-management role, but rather a position for a commercial systems architect.

Marketing at Aligned is intentionally structured around three business pillars: Brand & Category, Demand Generation based on a portfolio of growth, and Product Marketing that owns funnel activation and sales enablement, all built upon a foundation of Strategy & Operations.

Aligned is winning this market through an unmatched Brand and Category (Demand Creation) strategy. While you will rapidly lay the long-term infrastructure for this category movement, your immediate "here and now" mandate is pipeline generation.ย

You will report directly to the CEO, serve as a core member of the executive leadership team, and own the comprehensive architecture of our global marketing engine.

What You Will Own1. Brand and Category Leadershipย
  • Social Media Ecosystem: Drive organic reach by establishing a mixture of business handles and employee advocacy programs focused on category education, campaign briefs, and company culture. Deploy targeted short-form edutainment content on LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Internal Creator-Led Distribution: Systematize our CEO and other employee audience - Executive social, monthly webinar, and podcast - into repeatable formats so our highest-ROI engine scales beyond the founder.
  • PR Architecture: Design and execute horizontal and vertical PR campaigns covering product innovations, category narratives, and business milestonesย
  • Analyst Relations & Reputation Governance: Direct our presence on customer evaluation networks, prioritizing aggressive investment and leadership positioning to drive maximum visibility for investors, partners, and customers.
  • Product Content Engine: Build out a data-driven content operation, leveraging our proprietary dataset of 1M monthly buyer interactions to publish industry-standard reports that generate organic earned media and executive trust.
  • High-Positioning Activations: Direct non-traditional brand campaigns, including elite influencer plays, high-production content experiences, and physical VIP world-premiere roadtrips across major ICP hubs to punch above our weight.
2. Demand Generation - Growth Engines Portfolioย
  • Multi-Platform Paid Growth Engine: Take absolute accountability for the performance and capital efficiency of our paid acquisition budget across Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Organic Growth: Drive our SEO and GEO strategy to sustainably generate qualified pipeline
  • Partnerships & Sales Content Houses: Scale and institutionalize our joint marketing engines with industry content creators
  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM/ABX): Orchestrate high-touch, multi-channel field marketing campaigns combining custom digital environments with physical activations against prioritized enterprise accounts.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization: Drive the strategic roadmap for website structure and user flow to maximize traffic-to-funnel efficiency.
3. Product Marketing & Funnel Activation
  • Category Evangelism: Own and defend Aligned's strategic narrative, scaling our positioning from Digital Sales Rooms into the definitive "AI Deal Workspace" across horizontal and vertical media.
  • Mid-Funnel Conversion: Define and own the operational line where Demand Gen hands off to PMM; take accountability for turning raw top-of-funnel leads into highly qualified sales pipeline.
  • Lifecycle & Nurture Programs: Own the operational architecture for user segmentation, email nurturing workflows, and in-app notifications targeting unconverted demos and lost opportunities.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Maintain and weaponize our master messaging house, pricing frameworks, and real-time sales enablement battlecards against competitors
  • Website Ownership: Own the corporate website architecture and lead messaging, page structure, and narrative flow.
4. Strategy, Operations & Leadership
  • Operational Rhythm: Establish marketing as a highly forecastable engine, governing OKRs, prioritization frameworks, and weekly signal-capture performance metrics.
  • Team Scaling: Directly manage, mentor, and expand our current core internal team and agency ecosystem, designing the multi-year hiring roadmap for senior marketing functions.
  • Budget Governance: Manage the global annual marketing budget, driving unit economics modeling, payback period optimization, and absolute forecast accuracy.
What Success Looks Like in 12-24 Months
  • First 60-Day Pipeline Wins: Successfully structured the core marketing data infrastructure, deployed initial demand-capture growth engines, and generated measurable, quick-win pipeline metrics entirely hands-on.ย
  • Pipeline Delivery: Marketing predictably delivers its share of total pipeline targets, scaling in Q3 toward continuous quarterly growth milestones.
  • Category Dominance: Aligned achieves a definitive leadership position in the AI Deal Workspace category, measured by growing our Brand Equity.
  • Funnel Velocity: Conversion rates from lead through demo to qualified opportunity improve, directly accelerating overall sales velocity and win rates.
  • Distribution Efficiency: The acquisition of proprietary media assets and the scale of our distribution engines materially decrease blended CAC and optimize payback horizons.
  • Forecast Predictability: Marketing data models mature to the point where leadership can accurately forecast pipeline outputs based on capital inputs, removing reliance on opportunistic or founder-led sales.
Requirements1. Proven Scale & Experience
  • Tenure: 8+ years of professional B2B marketing experience within the high-growth technology sector, with 4+ years serving directly in a VP of Marketing or CMO capacity reporting to the CEO.
  • Stage Background: Documented track record of scaling a B2B SaaS business through structured growth phases (e.g., from $10M to $50M+ ARR), successfully operating within hybrid PLG (Product-Led Growth) and SLG (Sales-Led Growth) commercial models.
  • Budget Ownership: Direct management and accountability for an annual multi-million dollar marketing budget, with a proven ability to optimize unit economics, CAC, and payback periods.
2. Domain & GTM Expertise
  • Pillar Mastery: Proven capacity to manage a multi-pillar marketing organization, with deep strategic literacy across product marketing, demand capture, and brand strategy. You're a demand-creation believer with an operator's spreadsheet,ย  someone whose worldview is dark social and brand as the engine, and whose day-to-day craft is the measurement and operating system around it.
  • Distribution Ownership: Direct experience or clear operational understanding of owning distribution channels to serve as proprietary top-of-funnel growth engines.
  • PLUS - Target Audience Depth: 6+ years of experience marketing directly to enterprise GTM decision-makers, including Chief Revenue Officers (CROs), VPs of Sales, and Revenue Operations leaders.
3. Execution & Leadership Metrics
  • Category Architecture: Led at least 2 distinct category-building or comprehensive corporate repositioning initiatives that demonstrably shifted market share of voice or search dominance.
  • Demand Execution: Demonstrated ability to build demand engines, structuring data workflows, and delivering at least 2-3 immediate pipeline wins before scaling out the wider team.ย
  • Team Architecture: Built and scaled internal marketing teams from early-stage foundations (~3 direct reports) into structured, multi-functional organizations.
  • Execution Depth: A builder mentality with operator depth. Someone who values absolute alignment, binary metrics of accountability, and has a strong bias for converting high-level strategy into clean execution blueprints.
  • Communication: Native-level English proficiency with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, tailored for elite executive presence and category evangelism.
