Job description

Social Media Channel Manager
Miami, FL (Hybrid)
Boats Group, the parent company of Boat Trader, YachtWorld, and boats.com, is hiring a Channel Manager to own audience growth, marketplace inventory distribution, and conversion across social platforms.
This role is responsible for translating marketplace inventory and product capabilities into scalable, high-performing distribution across social channels.
This is not a creative content role. It is a technically-minded channel leadership position focused on:
  • Audience growth strategy
  • Marketplace inventory activation
  • AI-enabled content scaling
  • Cross-channel distribution infrastructure
  • Clear communication of technical and platform requirements
  • As Boats Group continues to scale its marketplaces, this role ensures social channels function as structured distribution engines - not just brand outlets.

What You'll be Doing:
1. Own Audience Growth Strategy Across Social Channels
  • Set and manage audience growth targets for each social platform in partnership with the Creative Content Director
  • Define channel-specific KPIs aligned to marketplace traffic, engagement, and lead generation
  • Partner with the Paid Performance team to accelerate audience acquisition through strategic amplification
  • Align audience growth strategies to high-value marketplace segments

2. Define Channel-Specific Strategy & Technical Requirements
  • Develop clear strategic positioning for each platform, emphasizing transactional channels that drive inventory visibility, lead generation, and traffic.
  • Create channel playbooks outlining:
    • Purpose and role of each platform
    • Content types and format standards
    • Metadata, tagging, and feed requirements
    • Posting cadence and performance metrics
  • Collaborate with and clearly communicate with Product, Data, and Tech teams:
    • What data fields are required for effective distribution

How listing data must be structured for social formats
  • What automation, API, or feed enhancements are needed
  • Where friction exists in current workflows

This role serves as the bridge between channel performance goals and the technical infrastructure required to support them.
3. Collaborate Deeply with Product & Technology
  • Partner with Product Managers and Engineering to build scalable systems that "pipe" marketplace listings into social-ready formats
  • Translate channel needs into clear product requirements and documentation
  • Ensure listing metadata, structured data, and media assets support distribution at scale
  • Align social channel capabilities with new marketplace feature launches
  • Advocate for automation and tooling that improves speed, consistency, and performance

Success in this role requires comfort speaking both the language of growth marketing and the language of product and engineering.2
4. Scale Inventory-Based Video Using AI
  • Develop AI-enabled workflows to scale short-form and long-form boat review content derived from marketplace inventory
  • Identify opportunities to automate scripting, editing, voiceover, and formatting
  • Ensure AI-assisted content meets brand standards and drives marketplace outcomes
  • Work with content creators to source raw materials and optimize them for structured distribution

5. Content Performance Optimization
  • Determine which inventory types perform best on which channels
  • Continuously test format, hook, structure, and CTA placement
  • Ensure alignment between organic strategy and paid amplification
  • Drive qualified traffic and leads back to Boat Trader, YachtWorld, and boats.com

6. Cross-Functional Execution
  • Work closely with:
    • Product & Engineering (infrastructure, automation, data feeds)
    • Paid Performance (audience acceleration, testing, scaling)
    • SEO & Growth (demand capture alignment)
    • Content Creators & Video Teams (asset sourcing and optimization)
  • Provide clear documentation and communication across teams to ensure alignment and execution at scale

What You Should Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in channel management, growth marketing, marketplace distribution, or performance marketing
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams
  • Ability to translate business goals into technical requirements and documentation
  • Strong understanding of social platform mechanics and distribution systems
  • Experience setting and managing audience growth targets
  • Experience with AI tools for video and content scaling
  • Data-driven and systems-oriented mindset
  • Strong communicator capable of aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders

What You'll Receive:
  • Hybrid Work Flexibility: Embrace a balanced work model with remote work on Mondays and Fridays and in-office collaboration from Tuesday to Thursday.
  • Generous Time Off: With a strong focus on work/life balance, we offer all employees paid time off starting on day one, multiple paid holidays throughout the year, your birthday off, and a winter break at the end of the year
  • Volunteering Time: Participate in our volunteer program with 4 paid days annually to contribute to your community.
  • Modern Office Perks: Our vibrant Miami office features cutting-edge amenities, such as an electric sit/stand desk, dual monitors, a gym, and a variety of snacks and beverages.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Enjoy top-tier Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance, along with a 401(k) plan featuring a 4% match.
  • Commuter Benefits: Park conveniently in our building's garage at no charge to you. For train commuters, we subsidize most, if not all, of your monthly pass expenses.
  • Professional Development: Take advantage of online training, live courses, and additional funds for courses, seminars, and certifications to enhance your skills.
  • Team-Centric Atmosphere: Be part of a close-knit team that prioritizes relationship-building and personal connections.
