Job Description

The Channel Manager drives all sales growth through the distribution channel. You will focus on managing, and expanding relationships with electrical/electronic distributors, manufacturer representatives, and channel partners. The Channel Manager ensures that the Channel Manager provides partners with the necessary technical, commercial, and strategic support to help them to promote and sell Sprecher + Schuh products and achieve revenue targets. You will support demand creation through close collaboration with field sales, end-users, OEMs, and engineering firms. You will work remotely, covering the southeast region of the United States.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop business plans with distribution partners to achieve revenue, growth, and market share goals.
  • Manage all distributor relationships within the assigned territory, including performance reviews, training, inventory planning, and joint sales activities.
  • Prospect and recruit and recruits new channel partners where needed, ensuring market coverage.
  • Grow new business through distribution by securing product specifications at OEMs, end-users, and EPC/engineering firms.
  • Provide proactive support to distributors to help identify opportunities, build pipelines, and convert demand into orders.
  • Deliver technical, product, and application support for channel partners to enhance their ability to sell Sprecher + Schuh products.
  • Help develop marketing programs, promotions, and product launch initiatives for the channel.
  • Conduct joint sales calls with distributors to strategic accounts and prospects.
  • Provide field market intelligence, including competitive insights, pricing trends, and industry developments.
  • Support channel partners with application design, product selection, and custom product requests.
  • Conduct distributor training, "Lunch and Learns," webinars, and product demonstrations.
  • Represent Sprecher + Schuh at industry events, channel conferences, and trade shows.
  • Ensure adherence to all Environmental, Safety, Security, and Quality policies, including ISO and Rockwell Automation requirements.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years relevant experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visa, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • The ability to travel locally 50% of the time to customers
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline and additional business-related degree
  • Typically requires 5+ years of experience in industrial distribution management, channel sales, or application engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience working with industrial distribution and manufacturer representatives.
  • Experience with the industrial distribution business model and channel dynamics.
  • Experience developing business through distributor networks.
  • Broad knowledge of industrial automation systems, controls, and electrical component applications.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical prints, schematics, and specifications; ability to cross-reference competitive products.
