Position Summary:

The Sales Support Executive plays a key supporting role in driving revenue growth and ensuring seamless sales operations. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate CRM data, managing product seed and special pricing programs, tracking purchase order fulfillment, developing new business opportunities through proactive lead generation, and delivering outstanding support to customers and internal partners.


Position Responsibilities:

Salesforce.com SDO Management

  • Maintain and update Sales Development Opportunity (SDO) records in Salesforce.com, ensuring data accuracy and timely progression through the pipeline
  • Collaborate with field sales and management to reflect current opportunity status, forecast data, and activity notes

Product Seed Request Handling

  • Process and coordinate product seed requests from internal teams and channel partners
  • Verify eligibility and obtain necessary approvals
  • Track fulfillment status and communicate outcomes to requestors in a timely manner

Special Pricing Request (SPR) Processing

  • Review, submit, and manage special pricing requests on behalf of the sales team
  • Work cross-functionally with pricing, finance, and channel teams to ensure accuracy and proper documentation

Purchase Order Tracking

  • Track open purchase orders from submission through delivery
  • Proactively identify and resolve fulfillment delays
  • Communicate order status updates to relevant stakeholders

Lead Generation

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound inquiry follow-up, and database research
  • Pass qualified leads to field sales representatives with appropriate context and notes
  • Maintain accurate lead and contact records in Salesforce.com

Customer-Facing Responsibilities

  • Serve as a responsive point of contact for inbound customer inquiries, providing timely resolution or routing to the appropriate team
  • Support existing account relationships by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities aligned with customer needs
  • Monitor contract timelines and proactively engage customers ahead of renewal windows
  • Escalate at-risk accounts to the appropriate sales or customer success owner

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with the marketing team to follow up on campaign-generated leads and ensure timely outreach
  • Coordinate with customer success, logistics, and finance teams to resolve order issues and support smooth customer experiences
  • Act as a sales overlay and day-to-day support resource for field and outside sales representatives

Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):

  • Associates of Arts (AA) or higher in Business Administration, Marketing or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in Customer Experience, Sales operations, or a related role required
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com or a comparable CRM platform
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with order management or pricing processes is a plus
  • Familiarity with channel sales or distribution models preferred
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role
