Business Development Manager - BlueLight Flash & humm3 Systems

Position Summary

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving significant revenue growth through the acquisition of new customers, strategic account development, and commercialization of innovative technology platforms across North America. This role will focus on expanding market adoption of the BlueLight Flash System for disinfection applications within the food and beverage industry and humm3 heating systems for composite material processing in aerospace and automotive manufacturing.
The successful candidate will identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities, establish design wins, and develop strategic partnerships that accelerate market penetration and revenue growth. This individual must be capable of selling complex technical solutions into large industrial organizations and thrive in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.

This could be a remote position or located at any of our North American sites. 

Key Responsibilities

Own and deliver ambitious sales, bookings, and revenue targets, with a primary focus on acquiring new customers and expanding market share;
Develop and execute territory growth strategies to generate sustainable revenue streams across food & beverage, aerospace, and automotive markets;
Identify and pursue high-value opportunities that lead to design wins, production adoption, and long-term recurring revenue;
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline and lead the entire sales cycle from prospect identification through closure.
BlueLight Flash System - Food & Beverage Market
Develop and execute market penetration strategies for BlueLight Flash disinfection technologies focused on food processing, beverage production, bottling, packaging, and filling line applications;
Engage food and beverage manufacturers, OEMs, system integrators, and engineering firms to drive adoption;
Position the technology as a solution that improves hygiene, product quality, efficiency, and compliance.
humm3 Heating Systems - Aerospace & Automotive Markets
Drive commercialization and revenue growth of humm3 heating technologies for composite manufacturing applications;
Build relationships with aerospace OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, automotive manufacturers, and composite fabricators;
Develop opportunities for integration into composite curing, bonding, forming, and lightweight material manufacturing processes;
Strategic Account Management
Develop executive-level relationships and strategic account growth plans;
Ensure successful implementation and identify expansion opportunities;
Market Development
Monitor competitive activity, emerging technologies, and industry trends;
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer demonstrations.
Channel and Partner Management
Identify, develop, and manage distributors, channel partners, and system integrators.
Business Planning & Forecasting
Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM updates, and pipeline reporting.

Critical Success Factors

Technical & Industry Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
Understanding of food processing, industrial disinfection, composite manufacturing, aerospace production, or automotive manufacturing is highly desirable.
Sales Excellence
Proven success in new business development and consultative solution selling;
Demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue targets and winning business in complex industrial or OEM environments.
Leadership & Communication
Strong executive presence and ability to communicate technical and commercial value.
Results Orientation
Strong hunter mentality focused on customer acquisition, revenue growth, and commercialization of innovative products.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of business development or technical sales experience in industrial, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, food & beverage, or related markets;
Experience selling capital equipment, industrial technologies, advanced manufacturing systems, or engineered solutions;
Proven ability to develop strategic customer relationships and convert opportunities into revenue;
Experience managing distributors, channel partners, and OEM relationships.

The anticipated hiring range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000. Salary based on a number of factors.
