What You'll Do
The Sr. Account Manager sells the organization's products and services by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects. This role is responsible for performance in areas of sales, gross margin, market share growth, and profitability of all product lines.
You will:
Sales:
  • Develops relationships with key vendors in assigned markets
  • Establishes or improves relationships with customers to better understand sales territory, and customer needs by primarily customer visits, in addition to phone calls and emails
  • Visit customers on a regular basis
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.
  • Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.
  • Provides quotations or estimates of prices, terms, delivery, credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
  • Promotes and features key vendor products through joint sales calls and promotions
  • Attends trade shows.

Administrative:
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
  • Processes orders from customers in sales, using all required company policies, procedures and systems
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
  • Works with inside sales representatives and local management to keep account activities and literature up to date.
  • Tracks stock levels.
  • Coordinates customer training.
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.

What You'll Bring
Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma
  • Previous sales experience required
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree is highly desired but not a requirement.

  • Industry experience- lighting and gear is our preferred experience
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and with little supervision
  • High energy individual with the ability to work with a wide range of personalities
