We have an opportunity for a senior Release Manager supporting a large enterprise application delivery program in Washington, DC.

The client is looking for a highly organized Release Manager with strong SAFe Agile experience, excellent stakeholder communication skills, and a proven track record managing enterprise software release.

Key Requirements:

5+ years of Release Management, Delivery Management, or Project Coordination experience
Strong experience working in Agile and SAFe environments
Proven experience coordinating application releases across multiple teams and workstreams
Experience managing release schedules, dependencies, risks, and deployment activities
Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Experience working with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar tools
Ability to coordinate Development, QA, DevSecOps, Infrastructure, and Business teams
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience presenting release status, risks, and metrics to leadership teams

Preferred Background:

Enterprise digital transformation initiatives

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to lead end-to-end release planning,
coordination, governance, and deployment activities within a large-scale Agile delivery
environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing complex application
releases across multiple teams, ensuring high-quality, secure, and timely delivery of enterprise
solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, coordinate, and manage application releases across multiple delivery teams.
Develop and maintain release calendars, deployment schedules, and release roadmaps.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including Development, QA, DevSecOps, Infrastructure,
Security, and Business Stakeholders.
Manage release dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
Oversee testing readiness, defect management, and deployment activities.
Facilitate release planning meetings and release readiness reviews.
Maintain release documentation, deployment procedures, rollback plans, and knowledge transfer
materials.
Track and communicate release status, metrics, risks, and milestones.
Ensure compliance with governance, security, architecture, and change management standards.
Drive continuous improvement of release management processes and best practices.

Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Release Management, Delivery Management, Project Coordination, or
Program Coordination.
Strong experience in Agile and/or SAFe Agile environments.
Proven experience managing releases across multiple teams.
Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Experience coordinating distributed and cross-functional teams.
Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar tools.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Enterprise-scale digital transformation experience.
Familiarity with OutSystems or other low-code platforms.
Experience in large enterprise environments.
Knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
Experience supporting global technology programs.
