Job Title: VKids Pastor - Edmond

Summary: The VKids Pastor for Edmond is responsible to lead and oversee the VKids ministry (birth through 6th grade). The VKids Pastor will play a key role in equipping children and families to live, move, and be in the fullness of Christ, aligning with the church's mission to reach the community with hope and love.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Ministry Leadership: Lead a comprehensive VKids ministry program, including Sunday Gatherings, teaching in the elementary class, midweek programs, and kids' camp to foster spiritual growth and discipleship among children.
  • Multi-Campus Coordination: Collaborate with other VKids teams from all Victory Church campuses to implement and oversee age-appropriate curriculum for kids of Victory Sunday Gatherings and other programs, ensuring alignment with Victory Church's mission, values, and biblical teachings.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and equip multiple teams of volunteers to serve in the VKids ministry, fostering a supportive environment to effectively minister to children and families.
  • Family Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and guardians to support family discipleship, providing resources and opportunities to connect faith at church with faith at home.
  • Pastoral Care: Provide spiritual guidance, mentorship, and care to children and their families, addressing their spiritual and emotional needs with compassion and wisdom.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Edmond Leadership staff, as well as other campus VKids pastors, to ensure a cohesive approach to whole-family ministry, integrating VKids programs with the broader vision of Victory Church.
  • Administrative Oversight: Manage the VKids ministry budget, oversee scheduling, maintain communication and ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children.

Qualifications/Education and/or Experience:
  • Spiritual Maturity: A Spirit-filled personal faith in Jesus Christ, with a calling to minister to children and families, and a commitment to living a godly life consistent with Victory Church's values.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in children's ministry, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role. Experience in a multi-site or large church setting is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Christian Education, Ministry, or a related field preferred. Equivalent ministry experience may be considered.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to engage and inspire children, parents, and volunteers. Proficiency in using digital tools for ministry management (e.g., Planning Center, Church Center app).
  • Heart for VKids Ministry: A genuine love for children and a heart for reaching families, with an understanding of current trends in children's ministry and culture.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers, aligning with the vision of the Lead Pastor and campus leadership.
  • Commitment to Victory's Mission: Fully participate in the life of Victory Church as an active member, embracing its Spirit-filled ethos and dedication to community impact.
