IT Change Manager - Contract - Onsite - Suwanee, GA
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Change Manager to lead and govern enterprise IT Change Management processes for a large, complex organization. This role is responsible for minimizing operational risk, reducing service disruptions, and ensuring technology changes are effectively evaluated, approved, communicated, scheduled, and implemented.
The IT Change Manager will facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and Change Management reviews while ensuring adherence to established governance standards and ITIL best practices.
This position works closely with IT leadership, project managers, technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors and will also support organizational change initiatives associated with major technology implementations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and continuously improve the enterprise IT Change Management process in alignment with ITIL best practices.
  • Facilitate weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, Emergency CAB (eCAB) meetings, and Change Management reviews.
  • Review proposed technology changes for completeness, risk, business impact, resource requirements, testing, rollback plans, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure changes are properly documented, approved, scheduled, communicated, and implemented according to established governance processes.
  • Maintain the enterprise change calendar and coordinate implementation schedules across multiple IT teams.
  • Monitor and report on change success rates, failed changes, unauthorized changes, change-related incidents, and other key performance indicators.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
  • Partner with IT leaders, business stakeholders, and project teams to assess organizational impacts associated with technology changes.
  • Develop and support communication, stakeholder engagement, training, and adoption strategies for major technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO) to incorporate Change Management requirements into project planning and execution.
  • Coordinate implementation activities across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, networking, and support teams.
  • Maintain accurate Change Management documentation and support audit and compliance requirements.
  • Utilize ServiceNow or comparable ITSM platforms to manage change records, workflows, approvals, reporting, and metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline Change Management processes.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline; equivalent education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Service Management, IT Operations, IT Project Management, or IT Change Management.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating CAB meetings and managing enterprise-level IT change processes.
  • Experience implementing or supporting ITIL-based Change Management frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or a comparable IT Service Management (ITSM) platform.
  • Experience working across technical and business teams in a complex enterprise environment.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification required.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes, particularly Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service Transition.
  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to assess both business and technical risks associated with proposed technology changes.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Prosci, CCMP, or other Change Management certification preferred.
  • Previous experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO).
  • IT Business Analyst experience is a plus.
  • Experience supporting large-scale technology implementations or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of organizational change management methodologies and adoption strategies.
  • Experience with operational readiness, service transition, and IT governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, enterprise applications, networking, and IT operations.
  • Experience within a large public-sector, education, or similarly complex enterprise environment is a plus.
