Both require significant study and professional experience, but the difficulty depends on an individual's background and skills.

Many programs also require a background in finance or related fields and adherence to ethical standards set by the CFP Board.

A CFP apprentice typically earns between $20,000 and $40,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and employer. To become a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with no experience, you must complete the required education, pass the CFP exam, and fulfill the experience requirement by working in a financial planning-related role or completing a structured internship.
