Role Description:
Arcadis is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and client-focused Certified Project Manager 1 to join our Project and Program Management team in Reno, NV. This full-time position will be responsible for managing the delivery of multidisciplinary projects that may involve external subcontractors and vendors. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management experience, commercial acumen, effective communication and team leadership skills, and the ability to lead teams while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, financial performance, and client satisfaction. In this role, you will manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resources to successfully deliver project objectives in alignment with Arcadis standards, client expectations, and contractual requirements. This position will report to our Reno, Nevada office and offers flexibility through hybrid work arrangements.
Role Accountabilities
This position will include both project delivery and client-facing responsibilities. The successful candidate should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working with multidisciplinary teams, engaging with clients and stakeholders, and supporting projects that may involve complex technical, contractual, regulatory, and business requirements.
  • Develop and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and delivery strategies to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, financial performance, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with client contracts, subconsultant agreements, and project-specific requirements.
  • Build strong client relationships by delivering technical solutions, addressing client needs, and identifying new opportunities.
  • Promote Health & Safety, utilize Arcadis project management tools, and mentor junior staff to support team success and professional growth.

Qualifications and Experience
Required:
  • Bachelor's of Science in Geology, Engineering, or closely related field
  • 10 years of relevant experience, including experience managing and leading teams

Preferred qualifications:
  • 4+ years of project management and/or task management experience;
  • Arcadis project management certification or active progression toward certification;
  • Proficiency with Arcadis project management systems, project management tools, and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Mining Experience
