The Opportunity

The Project Risk Manager supports execution of the PMOโ€™s project risk processes. This role works closely with Project Managers and functional partners to identify, document, and track risks, ensuring mitigation plans are aligned, realistic, and reviewed consistently. The Manager maintains accurate project risk registers, facilitates workshops, supports schedule integration, and provides risk reporting for PMO governance cadences including Summits, Touchpoints, and readiness gates.

What you will do?

Project Risk Execution

  • Maintain project risk registers and ensure timely updates from functional owners.
  • Facilitate recurring project-level risk reviews with PMs and functional SMEs.
  • Support integration of risk baselines into Project Directives and early planning.
  • Apply standard risk scoring, templates, and documentation across all active projects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Conduct risk identification sessions with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Facilities, Operations, Quality, and Finance.
  • Ensure functional owners define clear mitigation actions, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-site risk visibility and alignment.

Schedule & Critical Path Support

  • Partner with schedulers to integrate risk impacts into project schedules.
  • Monitor tasks and constraints that may affect the critical path.
  • Communicate schedule risk indicators to the Senior Manager and Project Managers.

Factory Readiness Support

  • Track factory readiness risks including tooling, layout changes, qualification, equipment receipt, and staffing.
  • Participate in readiness walks, floor reviews, and build planning meetings

At-Risk Procurement & Long-Lead Support

  • Prepare risk summaries and documentation for long-lead or at-risk procurement reviews.
  • Ensure functional inputs align with PMO and CFO approval thresholds.

Reporting & Governance

  • Update risk dashboards and support reporting for Summits, Touchpoints, and readiness gates.
  • Escalate overdue mitigations or high-severity risks to the Senior Manager.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support enhancements to templates, tools, dashboards, and scoring criteria.
  • Contribute to lessons learned and incorporate findings into future project planning activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in project coordination, operations, engineering, or risk-related roles.
  • Understanding of engineering processes, supply chain dependencies, or manufacturing workflows.
  • Analytical skills with experience using ERP or BI tools such as Deltek, SAP, Power BI.
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
