Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Staff Information Systems Project Manager. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Act as the assignment manager for the SWF Project Management and Operations Team, including a team of CAMs and Project Managers.

  • Improve current processes and optimize organizational procedures for efficiency and productivity.

  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget and make accurate decisions and recommendations to prevent serious delays, excess time, additional resources, and increased costs.

  • Lead risk management activities by identifying, analyzing, tracking and communicating organizational and project risk and opportunities.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop mitigation plans, monitor risk status, and ensure timely escalation of issues that may impact organization objectives.

  • Prepare charts, briefings and metrics as needed to provide the Software Factory with visualization material necessary to understand the health of the organization.

  • Directly responsible for guiding and supporting team members to prepare, coordinate, and facilitate executive level and customer level engagements.

  • Support program increment rhythm to enable and integrate OU level execution of objectives.

  • Coordinate and manage staffing needs for the organization, including developing draft job descriptions, post requisitions, managing rosters, managing seat assignments, onboarding and offboarding of team members.

  • Oversee daily operations in collaboration with senior leaders and directorates, and perform administrative tasks such as managing calendars, generating correspondence, maintaining electronic files, planning, and coordinating meetings, developing high level briefings and scheduling facilities.

  • Build relationships and effectively listen and communicate to influence and ensure accountability across a network of stakeholders.

  • Acting with a sense of urgency and accountability; taking ownership of tasks and strategic direction.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications

  • 12 Years of experience with a Bachelors degree from an accredited university; 10 Years of experience with Master's degree from an accredited university; 8 years experience with PhD from an accredited university OR an additional 4 years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.

  • Must have knowledge/experience of Systems Engineering "V" Life Cycle, or Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.

  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint).

  • Must be knowledgeable in Atlassian Suite (i.e. Jira and Confluence).

  • Prior leadership experience (team, people, project, program, etc.)

  • Demonstrated track record/ experience in project management/ execution and closeout.

  • Firm understanding and application of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) minimum 2 years.

  • Experience building strong relationships - both internally and with customers.

  • Firm understanding and application of Active Risk Management portfolios $50M factored risks.

  • Demonstrated ability in prioritizing multiple tasks.

  • Certified Project Management Professional.

  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to document, track, and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution.

  • Possess strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills and the ability to work as a team member and with other members from different technical backgrounds.

  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Control Account Manager or Program Manager with robust Full Criteria Earned Value Management (EVMS) experience (labor, material, Subs, IWOs).

  • Experience with risk and opportunity management.

  • Experience with contract actions and vehicles (i.e. CDRLS).

  • Experience in briefing executive leadership.

  • Agile Certification (Scrum Master, Product Owner/Manager, Release Train Engineer).

  • Experience managing software engineering teams that use Agile Methodologies.

  • DAU Certification.

Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
