Certification Manager

As a Certification Manager, you will coordinate and manage all project related certification questions, activities, and applications topics. You will align with internal project management, external agencies, authorities, and accredited institutes, when necessary, and support safety and engineering processes.
Key Activities
  • On time managing and planning of all certification activities
  • Scheduling for certification, and support the coordination of qualification testing and safety management
  • Responsible for requirements management of all certification relevant requirements, standards and documents
  • Requirements tracking for all certification relevant requirements (listing the requirements, scheduling, coordinating the schedule with external consultant if necessary)
  • Proactive requesting, tracking and documenting validations from engineering
  • Checking of the validation documentation for plausibility, quality and relevance
  • Coordination with assessors, agencies, accredited sites and external consultants
  • Support safety management for all relevant safety committees (liaison)
  • Support engineering regarding FRA compliance and CFR/APTA/US-standards
  • RA/TC (North America) compliance and certification
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical) in relevant field
  • 5-8 years of experience in the field of rail vehicle, defense, aerospace and certification management
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards
  • Experience in leading challenging projects in an international environment
  • Team player with high degree of social competence, sense of responsibility and assertiveness
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
  • Structured, goal-oriented, dynamic and loyal personality
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong teamwork skills
