Description & Requirements

The Performance Improvement Healthcare Consulting team helps healthcare organizations achieve sustainable results by addressing margin erosion through targeted improvement strategies. By aligning strategic, operational, and financial initiatives, they identify opportunities and support leadership in implementing impactful changes. With a focus on strengthening margins, the team empowers providers to fulfill their mission and thrive in todayโ€™s evolving healthcare environment.


What You Will Do:

  • Lead or support healthcare client engagements, with a focus on patient access and patient financial services applying operational knowledge, analytical rigor, and client-facing consulting skills to help healthcare organizations improve financial and operational outcomes.

  • Contribute to large-scale revenue cycle performance improvement initiatives through both qualitative and quantitative analysis

  • Support healthcare client engagements, with a focus on patient access and patient financial services

  • Conduct data analysis to identify and evaluate performance trends ยท Deliver a best-in-class client experience through proactive communication and high-quality work

  • Collaborate effectively with team members and clients to validate workflows, facilitate knowledge transfer, and address challenges

  • Mentor junior team members by providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and professional development support.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare, or a related field

  • 4+ years of relevant healthcare experience working with hospitals and health systems.

  • Working experience with EPIC, Oracle/Cerner, or Meditech

  • Experience in healthcare revenue cycle with a focus on claim denials, accounts receivables management, and/or patient access

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to travel up to 75% depending on client need


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare revenue cycle finance, reserve modeling, and general ledger systems

  • Master's Degree

  • Prior consulting experience

  • Experience in PowerBI or Tableau

The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Pursuant to Illinoisโ€™ Equal Pay Act, the salary range displayed is for the Illinois market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Nonโ€‘exempt/hourly positions will be eligible for time and half pay for employees that work over 40 hours in a workweek. Benefits are eligibilityโ€‘based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), bonuses, profitโ€‘sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
