JOB DESCRIPTION

The IT Technical Analyst serves as the primary interface between Legal, Travel & Expense, and Information Technology, with end-to-end accountability for demand management, operational support, application lifecycle oversight, and service delivery for assigned platforms.

This role ensures solutions are stable, compliant, and cost-effective, while maintaining alignment with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and Adient's IT strategy. The BRM acts as the single point of contact for assigned applications, translating business needs into IT demand, governing vendors and enhancements, and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the business relationship and application portfolio for Legal and T&E systems.
  • Support the Operational activities of the platforms (User Access, Interfaces, Batch Jobs, Change Management).
  • Ensure application operations, user processes, integrations, and change controls comply with SOX, ITGC, and audit requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, including evidence gathering, remediation, and control improvements.
  • Manage third-party vendors, including issue resolution, enhancement requests, contract oversight, and license renewals.
  • Oversee disaster recovery planning, security configurations, and Certificate management including SSO.
  • Lead demand intake, prioritization, and backlog management across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, cost estimates, and stakeholder communications.
  • Gather and document business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process models.
  • Plan and execute testing activities across all phases, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and regression testing.
  • Review and approve requirements, solution designs, test plans, and golive readiness.
  • Partner with Procurement and IT teams to evaluate alternative technologies and optimize the application portfolio. Support vendor selection, RFPs, and SOW creation for enhancements or new solutions.
  • Proactively identify gaps between business needs and IT capabilities and recommend pragmatic, value-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT delivery teams (Application, Integration, Security, Infrastructure) to execute enhancements and projects.
  • Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 support for expense and legal platforms, including issue triage, root cause analysis, and coordination with Vendor support and third-party providers.
  • Monitor application health, data feeds, and integrations (e.g., ERP, HR master data, credit card providers)
  • Work well both alone and as part of a team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis, application management, or service delivery.
  • Strong understanding of SOX, IT General Controls, and audit requirements.
  • Experience supporting multi-tier applications in a production environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a global environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
  • Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with internal support teams and external SaaS providers.
  • Ability to work with senior business leaders and influence without direct authority; Business customer oriented
  • Scripting skills (SQL, Linux, Windows)
  • Interface knowledge (API, SFTP, SAP PO, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with Legal applications such as CounselLink, Entity Management, Compliance Tools, Legal Document Management, e-Discovery, and Legal Hold systems
  • Familiarity with Expense Reporting solutions (Navan, or other)
  • SAP/QAD ERP familiarity
  • Familiarity with integrations to ERP (e.g. SAP) and HR master data feeds
