Description
The Site Security Manager (SSM) is responsible for overseeing day-to-day security operations at a cleared, 24/7 data center construction site. This role ensures strict compliance with federal, state, local, and contract-specific security requirements while maintaining a secure environment for personnel, property, and sensitive assets.
The SSM provides direct supervision of unarmed security personnel, supports the Campus Security Manager, and serves as a key leader in maintaining operational readiness for audits and inspections. Strong leadership, flawless documentation practices, and hands-on knowledge of physical security systems are essential for success in this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the Campus Security Manager in the execution of all security services and act as the designated backup when required.
  • Supervise, train, and support unarmed security personnel assigned to the site, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to post orders.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, orientation, training, development, and retention of security staff.
  • Ensure all security personnel maintain required licensing and meet applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accountability, maintenance, and security of all supplier-provided equipment, tools, and expendable supplies.
  • Maintain accurate training records, incident logs, and required security documentation.
  • Ensure personnel are fully trained and competent in site security systems, access control processes, equipment, and response procedures.
  • Prepare for and support internal and third-party audits, including unannounced inspections, by enforcing approved security controls and procedures.
  • Consistently maintain documentation and standardized processes in alignment with audit and compliance requirements.
  • Serve as Acting Campus Security Manager as needed to cover staffing gaps or operational needs.

Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Site Security Manager or equivalent supervisory security role.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance (required).
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must provide a valid U.S. Passport Book or Passport Card.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising unarmed security personnel in a cleared environment.
  • Strong knowledge of physical security operations, access control systems, and security documentation standards.
  • Proven ability to maintain audit readiness and compliance in high-security environments.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including supporting site startup activities.
