Job Overview for Production Associates
The Lee Group is looking for Production Associates to work at one of our valued clients in Newport News, VA. Production Associates are essential part of the production process, working on the line to produce high-quality food products that meet the company’s stringent standards. Some responsibilities of Production Associates will include handling and processing frozen food products, ensuring that production runs smoothly, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. If you are someone who is detail-oriented, can work efficiently in a fast-paced setting, and is comfortable with heavy-lifting and physical tasks, we encourage you to apply!
Job Responsibilities of Production Associates
  • Open boxes of frozen fish and place them on the production line.
  • Separate frozen fish portions and evenly distribute them across a conveyor belt. Remove any portions that are the incorrect size or shape.
  • Package fish into plastic bags and boxes. Use sealing equipment to secure the boxes.
  • Assemble boxes on the assembly line.
  • Monitor the quality, size, and shape of fish portions as assigned.
  • Maintain cleanliness by sweeping the floor, cleaning the work area, and disposing of refuse.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications of Production Associates
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to regularly lift 50 - 66 lbs.
  • Adaptability to changing work environments and tasks.

Shift Details (note: actual shift times are typically 8hrs but the right candidate will have the following availability):

  • 2nd shift availability required: 3:00pm – 1:00am
