As the Advanced Practice Coordinator - Oncology and Cellular Therapies, you will collaborate with top professionals in the field and play a key role in shaping the future of advanced practice within our program.
Key responsibilities of the Advanced Practice Coordinator - Oncology and Cellular Therapies include (but are not limited to):
  • 60% clinical, 40% administrative responsibilities
  • Direct supervision and support for Advanced Practice Providers in our Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant oncology and cellular therapy program (BMTU)
  • Develop and maintain educational initiatives for Advanced Practice Providers
  • Coordinate ongoing professional development opportunities for APPs

Responsibilities
The Advanced Practice Coordinator-Oncology & Cellular Therapy provides administrative leadership to advanced practice providers within the department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: recruitment of APPs, retention of APPs, orientation of APPs, education, training, onboarding, coordinating schedule and ensuring appropriate staffing, process improvement, quality improvement, engagement in FACT accreditation and re-accreditation, expert in FACT requirements, coordination of Advanced Practice for FACT, facilitation of professional development opportunities for advanced practice, providing annual evaluation of staff, cost center management, facilitation of advanced practice budget, completion of bi-weekly payroll. Will also provide bedside clinical services to both the inpatient and outpatient clinical units.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:: Master's Degree from Accredited PA Program or Master's Degree from an Accredited NP Program with National Board Certification, and Florida State Licensure. Minimum 5 years experience in Bone Marrow Transplant, Cellular Therapy Oncology. BLS certification required.
Credentialing: Must meet requirements set by the Medical Staff Office to obtain and retain privileges to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner within UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF Healthcare Network, as applicable.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Master's Degree from Accredited PA Program OR Master's Degree from an Accredited NP Program with National Board Certification, and Florida State Licensure. BLS certification required.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation (Required): (Refer to CP 1.51): Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose
