The Cell Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily activities of staff within one or more cells. This includes stepping in at different stations as needed. The Cell Coordinator ensures that safety, quality, and productivity goals are met while enforcing all policies and procedures related to the assigned cells.


Key Job Elements


· Coordinate daily activities of personnel in one or multiple cells

· Work any station within the cells, as needed

· Assist Team lead/Supervisor by being a role model to the team to ensure safety, quality, productivity and delivery     targets are achieved and improved upon

· Support and be active in the 6S program and safety efforts that lead to creating a safer work environment by achieving our plant and cells/lines targets

· Support and be active in quality efforts, report any quality issues immediately to your team lead and routinely inspect the work of the operators in your cells/lines

· Read and understand all policies, procedures, work instructions and test instructions associated with the assigned cells/lines.

· Ensure the cells/lines work instructions are being followed

· Ensure scrap materials & rework labor in the department is accurately documented, (NCPO) on a daily basis

· Utilize BOM's and routings and report any discrepancies found with the documents

· Report issues that may jeopardize on-time delivery and performance to standard lead time to your team lead

· Ensure efficiency targets and results are understood by all operators in your cells/lines

· Ensure 3 sided boards and hourly boards are up to date

· Periodically fill in for Team Lead or Supervisor in their absence


Requirements


· Must be considered an A player

· Two years minimum manufacturing experience.

· Ability to perform basic math including use of calculators.

· Be able to read, write and speak English fluently

· Experience with using a computer and or ability to learn basic usage of Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook.

· Ability to read and understand manufacturing documentation such as prints, BOM’s, routing, and work instructions with minimal assistance.
