Job description

PURPOSE OF POSITION
Program leaders work directly with an assigned class of approximately 20-25 students, in a K-8 school setting. Program leaders interact with students to provide a positive role model, coach, and mentor. Program leaders support the Celerity Mission and Vision through effective implementation of daily program guide activities and Fun Friday projects. Program leaders are flexible, committed, hardworking, and enthusiastic as it relates to their interactions with Celerity stakeholders. Program Leaders will receive continuous training and coaching support to strengthen their capacity to engage students in an expanded learning and enrichment environment.
About Expanded Learning and ASES: The After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program provides funding for afterschool programs that focus on improving academic performance and providing safe, constructive alternatives for students. ASES programs emphasize literacy, academic enrichment, and safe recreational activities.
HOURS:
  • Days: Monday - Friday
  • Daily Schedule: 2:15pm - 6:00pm

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION/TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
  • At Least 48 College Credits
  • Ability to speak, read, and write academic English.
  • Prior Experience working with school aged children preferred.
  • Must clear TB and Fingerprint check.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with partners and vendors to enhance the learning experience for ISANA students in the after-school program.
  • Monitor and maintain student records, including attendance, rosters, and behavior.
  • Work with diverse groups of students, maintaining a 20:1 student-to-leader ratio.
  • Provide academic support, enrichment activities, and positive reinforcement to all students.
  • Maintain a professional, positive attitude and a willingness to learn and tackle daily challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise and engage with students during program hours.
  • Assist in implementing educational activities and lesson plans.
  • Provide support to students with varying needs and abilities.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Collaborate with teachers and program coordinators to ensure the program's success.
  • Flexible Schedule: This position offers a flexible schedule, ideal for candidates who can be available to work on-call at least three times a week, if not more. This flexibility is perfect for students, part-time workers, or anyone looking to gain experience in education while managing other commitments.

PAY RANGE NOTICE:The posted pay range represents the full range for this classified position. Final placement is contingent upon verification of prior experience through completion of the required Verification of Experience (VOE) form. Credit for prior experience requires having worked at least 85% of the applicable employment period
