Job Description
This is a part-time position working directly with 3rd-8th grade students. We are looking for strong leaders who have the ability to motivate and develop character. Our enrichment activities coaches facilitate a weekly enrichment activity designed to improve cognitive development, social-emotional intelligence, and academic performance.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Facilitate weekly instruction and activities taken from our curriculum.
• Hold high expectations for all students.
• Provide individual or small group instruction for students who need additional assistance.
• Create and foster a positive learning environment and exhibit rapport with students.
• Engage with students in a manner that is supportive and aids in development.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
• At least 2-years of teaching and/or chess experience
• Strong desire to motivate and raise the achievement levels of traditionally under-served students
• Great work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to learn and teach using our proven methods for improving at chess
• Background check
