Job description

The Global (Lead) Minister of Celebrate Recovery will assist the Hills Church in our mission to make and grow followers of Jesus among people who have struggled with addiction or who need help overcoming their hurts, habits and hang-ups. This role is vital in creating communities at the Hills Church where the love of Jesus and the power of Jesus combine to transform lives and lead people towards wholeness and freedom.  

Specific List of Responsibilities: 

  • Make disciples who make disciples 

  • Develop and equip leaders to carry out the ministry of Celebrate Recovery, including oversight of the Leadership Pipeline. 

  • Work in partnership with the Campus Leads to effectively carry out the mission of Celebrate Recovery across the campus of The Hills Church. 

  • Cast vision and set ministry strategy 

  • Build and protect ministry culture and identity 

  • Executive tasks: set calendar and trainings, financial oversight, campus expansion, liaison to Hills Church leadership and CR National 

  • Pray with, care for, and pastor members of the CR community and our volunteer teams 

Skills required:  

  • Ability to organize and lead teams 

  • Learn and understand the specific requirements of leading a recovery ministry 

  • Ability to plan and budget financial resources to be used in the ministry 

  • Ability to strategically plan for the ministry and execute the plan 

  • Ability to patiently walk with and pastor those who are recovering from addiction or who have been hurt by someone who has been addicted 

  • Knowledge of when to refer someone who requires specific professional health services 

  • Ability to lead people towards a common vision and mission Â
